Skilled Worker Program
Skilled Workers are persons with suitable education, work experience, age and language abilities under one of Canada’s official languages and who are selected under the Express Entry Immigration system to apply for permanent residence.
Federal Skilled Worker Requirements:
- At least one year of continuous full time or equivalent part-time paid work experience in the last ten years in occupations Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list.
- Your employer has made a valid employment offer (LMIA or PNP nomination) for a permanent job. If your application is successful you may be issued a work permit and invited to apply for a permanent resident visa. Having a PNP nomination will provide your Express Entry profile with additional key points (600) ensuring the best chance to receive an (ITA)Invitation to Apply from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
